We've all grown up hearing myths such as, "dark colors make you look slimmer."

But you know what? Life is way to short too be so limited in our choices. This summer, I'm embracing light-colored swimwear for the first time ever! And I'm pretty pleased with the result.

I love how this Creamsicle color from Beccca Etc. makes my tan pop. And while I was concerned that it might show dirt easily, that was not an issue after wearing it around the pool all day.

The lace-up detail around the bust is extremely flattering and definitely emphasizes your--ahem--assets, without being overly revealing. This is a suit that I would feel comfortable wearing in all kinds of mixed company, from family members, to co-workers, to friends.

White Out!

The Profesora White Swimsuit from Ashley Graham x Swimsuits for All collection has flattering cut-outs, blingy, bust-enhancing lace-up detail, and beautiful lines that hug your curves and make you feel like a mermaid!

I had some concern that the white suit might be see-through when wet, but this was not the case at all! And I felt like it was actually the most slimming suit I'd ever worn, despite the myth about dark colors. This swimsuit is completely wearable and figure-flattering!

No matter what color you choose, get out there and rock your curves this summer, in any hue! See the rest of my S / S 2017 Swim Lookbook for more ideas to shake up your swim season!
